Concord Reverso

Concord Reverso is a rear-facing seat for use from birth until around four years old

Concord has entered the emerging i-Size car seats market with the Reverso, the first i-Size seat to be approved from birth up to 105 cm (around four years old). We take a look at its features.

The introduction of new child car seat regulation, i-Size (R129), has led to a raft of new seats being launched on to the market and more and more are expected. This latest, from the German brand Concord, is the Reverso, an Isofix rear facing seat that can be used for your newborn all the way up to 105cm, which is the average height of a four year old.

We’re looking forward to testing the Concord Reverso in our laboratory. We combine dynamic crash testing with ease of use assessments by parents and experts.

Rear facing car seat for longer

The Concord Reverso is really light compared to similar seats on the market. This should make it easier for parents to lift and move the car seat between cars.

It can be used for children weighing up to 23 kgs as long as they don’t exceed the 105cm height limit. Currently most other Isofix seats can only accommodate children weighing up to 18 kgs.

Recline and leg position can be adjusted using rotating dials. The Concord Reverso costs £290.

To make the Reverso suitable from birth, it comes with an inlay that is used for the first three to five months.

We’ve tested the Maxi-Cosi 2WayPearl which was the first i-Size seat on the market but this is only approved from 67 cm up to 105 cm (six months to four years).
