Five hot pushchairs for summer

Popular pushchairs in summery shades
iCandy Peach Bubblegum

iCandy Peach in Bubblegum is a strong summer colour

As summer approaches, we’re surrounded by an explosion of brighter, bolder colours as fashion mimics nature, and pushchairs are no exception. Some manufacturers change their colours every season and others release colour packs that allow you to brighten up your pushchair without having to buy a whole new stroller.

To find the right one for you, visit our pushchair reviews.

If you feel it’s time to ditch your muted or boring black buggy in favour of a happier hue, here’s the best of a blooming bunch.

1. iCandy Peach Bubblegum £755

Hot pinks and purple combine in this fuschia-inspired, head-turning colour.

The newest iCandy Peach is currently at our test labs and we’ll be able to bring you results very soon but, in the meantime, you can read our iCandy Peach first look review.

2. Cosatto Giggle 2 Go Brightly £470

You don’t get much brighter than this prismatic riot of colour from far-from-retiring Cosatto. The Giggle 2 comes with a carrycot included in the package, so you can use this pushchair with your newborn, and we’ve tested the Group 0+ car seat it’s compatible with – the Cosatto Hold.

We’ve tested the original Giggle but since then there have been some updates to the chassis and seat including an extra recline position and a new brake mechanism. Our Cosatto pushchair reviews could help you make up your mind.

3. Quinny Buzz Xtra Blue Base £450

For a more calming but still bold look, this deep blue Quinny might float your boat.

Quinny travel systems have a unique unfolding mechanism thanks to a gas spring. Find out what we thought of the all-terrain Quinny Buzz Xtra when we sent it to our test lab.

4. Bugaboo Cameleon 3 Orange £845

This scorching orange shade is perfect for hot summer days but the Cameleon 3 is a perennial favourite. It’s well-known for its beach or snow mode which allows you to use it with just two wheels to drag it over awkward terrain.

Find out how it fared in our safety and durability tests as well as learning the views of our parent panel by visiting the Bugaboo Cameleon 3 review.

5. Stokke Xplory Multi Stripes Kit £119

The Stokke stroller summer kit can be added to the Stokke Xplory, Crusi and Trailz so provides a relatively cost-effective way of updating your pushchair’s look for the summer. The pack includes hood with visor with UPF 50+ protection, a terrycloth seat cover and bumper bar cover and a sun sail.

The Stokke Xplory is a real statement pushchair and is liked by some parents for its elevated seating position and unusual design.

Find out how it measured up in our tests in our Stokke Xplory review.

Pushchair reviews

There’s no doubting you can be swayed by a pushchair’s style, but there’s so much more to consider. We’ve reviewed more than 190 pushchairs and every one that goes through our lab tests is subjected to more than 30 tough safety and durability tests, including going over 206 km of bumpy treadmill and pushing up and down on the handlebar 10,000 times to check its strength.

We also get our parent panel to take pushchairs round an obstacle course and up and down kerbs, assess their child’s comfort, and to check out claims such as one-handed folds or reclines.

All this and lots more goes into to determining our Best Buy pushchairs.
