He has worked in journalism for five years and spent the past two and a half years working at the Financial Times, where he was supplements editor of Money Management magazine. He writes for Which? Money magazine on all investment articles and content across which.co.uk.
Richard Headland, Editor, Car
Richard Headland is our motoring editor, working on all our car content for Which? magazine, Which? Car and Which.co.uk. His passion is for great quality, affordable cars – not millionaires' playthings and automotive exotica. So it's a good job he works at Which?, where he's constantly looking to identify the best new cars, second-hand gems and all-round great deals.
Claire Evans, Deputy Editor, Car
By the time Claire was in her 20s she had a growing collection of classic cars - the total count reached 12 at one point. Claire has been working on consumer and motoring titles for much of the past 18 years and Deputy Editor of Which? Car since late 2008.
Ben Stevens, Technology Researcher
Ben Stevens joined Which? in January 2007. He works in the Technology team, where he writes news and first look reviews. Al Warman, Digital Content Producer, Technology
Al Warman joined Which? in 2008 as a researcher and then moved into his current position of Digital Content Producer for Technology. Al loves getting to the heart of consumer issues, getting hands-on with new gadgets and writes first look reviews, technology advice guides and news as well as producing the weekly Which? Technology email newsletter.
George Marshall-Thornhill, Cars Researcher
George has a degree in Automotive Engineering, but feels he learned just as much working in the garage as a service/repair mechanic during his teens. After working at Ford's Research and Development centre and an automotive electronics supplier, he started his writing career at the price-busting Carbuyer magazine, finally joining Which? in 2005.
Tim Pitt, Staff writer, Which? Car
Tim is the staff writer for Which? Car magazine and, coincidentally, is the same height as Top Gear's Richard Hammond. But while Hammond spends his days thrashing Ferraris around a disused airfield, Tim is more likely to be found measuring the boot space of superminis in the Which? test lab.
Will McManus, Researcher/Writer, Cars
Will’s a sucker for small cars that punch above their weight, and is an expert when it comes to disputes with car dealers (resolving them for readers, not picking fights himself). He mainly writes car reviews and news for the Which? Car website. Will also contributes to the Which? Car magazine.
Richard Parris, Senior Researcher, Technology
Richard has a background in research that began with a role in programme development and documentary production at the BBC. Following this, he worked in research and analysis of biofuel and alternative energy projects and country-risk analysis at a major Swiss finance group. He has been writing for Which? since 2007, during which time he became Senior Researcher, Technology.

That means news reporting and writing advice across a broad remit of topic areas – from energy and environmental issues through to large and small appliances for your home and baby and toddler products. Whatever the topic, she’s always digging around for the best value deal for consumers.
