Proposals for the reform of Scottish legal services fall short of the mark

As the Scottish Government today published its response to the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) report for alternative business structures for the legal profession, Which? campaignerJulia Clarke says:

 “This is a missed opportunity to put consumers at the heart of reforms to the Scottish legal profession.

 “We are amazed and disappointed that reforms are being left in the hands of the legal profession and the Government. We feel that unless an independent body is created to regulate lawyers and advocates, consumers will be let down.”
