The Finance & Operations Division is at the very hub of our business.
With a ‘can do’ mentality, teamwork and high-level professionalism across a range of services, Finance & Operations is a valued partner to everyone in the business. Here’s a brief overview of our activities:
IT delivers business solutions in partnership with all Which? departments and also works closely with the Online team within Marketing. From marketing tools and online fulfillment to Content Management Systems, we implement, upgrade and maintain IT systems as part of a wide-ranging development programme that enables Which? to transform the business. Investment in the team is constant, as we roll out training plans that keep the team’s skills relevant and up to date. IT professionals joining us can look forward to a programme of continuous development.
A £60m turnover business demands polished accounting services, and our Financial Accounts function provides timely financial accounting to support operations at both London and Hertford. Our Management Accounts team takes a proactive stance to understand the business in order to provide analysis and management information for key decision makers. Internal Audit reviews our controls and helps us to manage risk effectively. Whether you're a qualified finance professional, or looking for the support to gain professional qualification, our training will help you to progress.
Our in-house legal team manages a wide range of contracts, from mystery shopping agreements to website terms and conditions. Besides advising on everything from litigation and marketing to copyright and trademarks, the team also minimises the threat of Which? being sued for defamation..
We also have a Which? Legal Service for our customers. Through this subscription service, our team of legal professionals gives advice on any kind of consumer issue, from tackling a builder who has not completed contractual work to a shop not accepting returned goods. For lawyers with a passion for consumer issues, and a desire to use their knowledge of consumer law outside the rat race of legal practice, this is a unique opportunity to help customers directly.
The Facilities Management team is responsible for maintaining a safe, healthy work environment and providing all services for the workplace. From air quality checks to energy saving initiatives, from space planning to digital device networking, the team has one constant aim: to take a forward thinking approach to make Which? a better place to work.
Our Talent team is at the forefront of our drive to attract, develop and retain the most talented people around. Made up of HR, recruitment and training professionals, the team’s aim is to maximise the potential of all our people and help them to have a successful career with us.
