Good Food Guide's tips for festive feasts

You could eat out at a top restaurant this Christmas for just a few pounds more than eating at home,The Good Food Guide reveals today.
With everything from turkey to cranberry sauce rising in price this year, the average cost of cooking a Christmas dinner has hit almost £16 a head.
But the guide says there are fantastic set-price menu bargains to be had at restaurants over the festive period – in some cases from just £17.95 per head for three courses.
Elizabeth Carter, Editor of The Good Food Guide, said: ‘Why not take some of the hassle out of Christmas this year and eat out? It might cost a little bit more, but you'll save yourself some shopping, cooking and washing up and have more time for family, friends and festivities.
‘We’ve chosen ten restaurants around the country where you can eat out over the Christmas period for around thirty quid or less – even if you live in central London.
‘If you live near Leeds and can get to the Mill Race in Kirkstall, they’re doing a Christmas menu for £17.95. A real festive bargain if ever there was one.’
