LG Solar Cube Steam oven
The LG Solar Cube Steam is the next evolutionary step for the Solar Cube microwave from LG. The previous Solar Cube could cook using microwave, convection, grill and halogen methods, as well as any combination of these four cooking modes. The new Solar Cube Steam, as the name suggests, has added steam to its arsenal of cooking weaponry.
According to LG, the addition of the steam function can be used to cook food quicker while leaving it more succulent and nutrient-rich. Filling and loading the drawer beneath the cavity is an easy and splash-free job, and the delicious gyoza that LG were offering at IFA were enough to convince Which? reporters of the merits of the Solar Cube Steam's cooking credentials.

LG 11kg washing machine
When it launches in a month or so in the UK, this 11kg drum will be able to tackle more laundry than any other washing machine of its class on the market.
Not only is it large, but the demonstrations suggest that it’s quiet and water efficient. The model running at the show had a cutaway to demonstrate how dampers, ball bearings and suspension can be used to reduce vibration – meaning that you can get a good night’s sleep when taking advantage of your Economy Seven energy tariff.

LG Sani-punch and Crystal Compressor
Also on display at IFA were these two vacuum cleaner attachments that can be fitted to the LG Compressor Plus vacuum cleaner.
The Sani-punch has a vibrating brush that disturbs dust particles and mites from carpets rugs and mattresses that otherwise might have clung on to the fabric and not be picked up by ordinary vacuuming.
The Crystal Compressor, on the other hand, is designed for hard surfaces, and creates steam from the water loaded into its head, to steam clean. We saw it demonstrated on pen scribbles on a wooden floor, and the markings caused the Crystal Compressor no trouble whatsoever.
