Internet access on TV
Widget-based web access through a TV
Web access on TVs is a great example of converging technologies, and manufacturers, such as Panasonic, Samsung, Sony and Philips are releasing internet capable TVs (IPTVs) that offer consumers access to news, weather, sport and social networking websites through a press of the TV's remote control.
Is the service a glorified version of teletext, or are the benefits of accessing web-content at ten feet rather than two feet a more enjoyable way of viewing online videos and photo galleries together?
