Recommended best digital cameras
Our survey of owners’ views sheds useful light on choosing the best digital camera, in addition to our thorough digital camera test programme and our own expert Which? digital camera reviews, which can help you find the best digital camera for you.
The survey put Panasonic digital cameras out in front of rival brands, with 85% of respondents giving a positive report. Canon digital cameras trail not far behind, but there’s a real surprise in third place. Traveler may not be a well-known brand for the best digital cameras, but of those owners surveyed the feedback was overwhelmingly positive – more so than for a number of more recognised digital camera manufacturers.
The larger brands generally receive positive responses in our survey, with Nikon, Sony, Casio and Fujifilm all getting 70% or more positive feedback.
Filling up the middle of the table, larger digital camera brands such as Samsung, Olympus and Pentax get largely favourable responses from the owners we surveyed.
Kodak digital cameras come in rather lower in the table, with only 60% of owners definitely recommending them. Getting the same positive response rate is lesser-known digital camera brand Ricoh, which has little market presence as yet in the UK, but is no stranger to our best digital camera ranks.
