The new Toyota iQ
Is the tiny Toyota iQ a clever choice?
Toyota’s new city car is said to be the smallest four-seater on the market. But with a hefty price tag of £9,495, will it be able to tempt drivers away from the popular Smart ForTwo?
On paper, it looks like it might – the iQ emits just 99g/km of CO2, so you won’t pay car tax until at least 2011, and a combined fuel economy of 66mpg promises plenty of miles for your money.
We’ve taken it out on the road to discover how the 68bhp engine copes – both in and out of the city – and you can see the results in our Toyota iQ first drive.
