If I have a complaint or something goes wrong in the switching process, who do I contact?

If you're experiencing problems with your energy company or supply, contact the energy company in the first instance. The company should provide guidance on how the complaint will be handled. If the problem isn't resolved to your satisfaction you can also contact Consumer Direct, the government's independent consumer body, for advice on how to progress your complaint.

Consumer Direct may send on details of the complaint to the energy supplier and the company will review it in line with its complaint handling standards.
