What are online only energy tariffs?

Some energy suppliers now offer 'online only' tariffs. These are often the cheapest energy deals available, but you'll need to have internet access, be happy to manage your energy account online (though not always) and receive your bills by email or on the internet.

Managing your account simply requires entering a meter reading on to the energy supplier's website once every three months. You can view your bills online, although some suppliers will send bills by post; useful if you don't have a computer at home, or prefer paper billing. There may be an extra charge for this.

If you don't have your own computer, you may consider accessing a friend's, relative's or library computer once every three months to manage your account.
