1. Create your page setup
The first step when making your own Christmas card is to set up your Word 2007 document as a greetings card.
Select the Page Layout tab from the Ribbon and click on the down arrow underneath Orientation. Click Landscape.
Next, click the small arrow in the bottom right-hand corner of the section of the Ribbon marked Page Layout.
Click the down arrow beside Multiple pages and select 2 pages per sheet and then click OK.
2. Formatting your document
Your Christmas card needs to be four pages long (two pages on the inside and one on the outside).
You’ll only be using one piece of paper, but with two pages per sheet.
Page one is the inside left-hand page, page two is the inside right-hand page, page three the back cover and page four is the cover.
Press and hold down the Ctrl key and the Return key to create a page break, as we’re leaving page one blank.
3. Understanding the card's layout
To add a Christmas message to page 2 (the inside right-hand page), click the Insert tab on the Ribbon.
Click the down arrow beside Text box to reveal Templates for different types of quote box; we’ve used the alphabet quote box.
Enter a message and then press Ctrl and Return to create a page break.
You can leave this page blank or add a message saying who made the card. Press Ctrl and Return again.
