The Canon Powershot D10 is the first camera from Canon to be designed with outdoor adventure and sport in mind. The D10 is, according to Canon, able to withstand temperatures as cold as -10°C, can be dropped on hard surfaces from 1.2m, and cope with underwater plunges to a depth of 10m, making it ideal for rugged, adventure sport lifestyles.

The resolution is 12.1Mp and there’s a 3x optical zoom. The lens cover is a fixed piece of clear plastic, which doesn't retract and close in the way that a regular lens cover does. This is to ensure a watertight and dust-proof seal. The lens surround stands proud of the lens cover to protect it from knocks, and Canon assures us that the clear plastic cover is scratchproof.
