Though Sony is a massive brand in the audio-visual market, it only makes a few digital radios.
Digital radio is not broadcast in all countries – in fact it’s only available in a few places, mainly in Europe. As a result of this, Sony has only a few models for sale.
None of the Sony DAB radios we've tested over the years have had outstanding sound quality.

All the models we've tested from Sony have been basic digital radios with few advanced features. They're also not as good looking as the Pure and Roberts models.

Sony digital radio reliability and customer views
Sony digital radios scored highly in our annual reliability survey, with 97%. So, like most digital radio brands, Sony produces very reliable sets that shouldn't need repair.
Sony got a Which? customer score of 66%. This is a fairly low customer score compared with other digital radio brands we looked at in our survey – market leaders Pure and Roberts scored 74% and 69% respectively.
The Which? customer score is based on how likely digital radio owners would be to recommend the product to a friend, and how satisfied they are with their model.
