Digital radios: Compare features & prices Pure One Elite II review Back to Results

The Pure One Elite Series II digital radio is very similar to the original Elite, but adds a 'listen later' feature, letting listeners record a programme onto its internal memory. It is priced at under £100, and comes with one alarm. Is this stereo digital radio worth catching up on?

EXCELLENT SOUND QUALITY - PARTICULARLY FOR SMALLISH SIZE
Having run side-by-side comparisons of several recommended radios, the PURE ONE ELITE II was the most impressive in the cost and size bracket. At home, I have found it best to tweak up the treble to near maximum, and reduce the base by two or three notches. This provides the optimum clarity for my own taste. Sound stage noticeably improved by stereo delivery compared with mono equivalents. Plenty of volume and very sensitive receiver. Works exceptionally well with iPad/iPhone for internet radio and TV streaming, TV sound boosting or digital music via the Aux Socket. Very portable with battery pack bought separately. Extremely pleased with this purchase.
