dreamtime version
Got the dreamtime version, the same but no ipod dock. No problem with dimming, actually quite good and easy to do. Presets take a few minutes to do, but then easy to use. Sound is better than expected, not loud, but very clear for bedside clock radio, overall found it very good, especialy at sub £50 price point. It's not a Bose, but it's not £450 either. I like its sound clarity when listening to quiet speech transmissions, like radio bbc 7, 4extra. Would well recomend it.

Disappointing product
Display light too bright and when dimmed you cannot see time. Radio alarm comes on low and then increases to full volume. Have sent 4 emails through 'Roberts' website with regards to how you can change volume to be lower but have had no reply.

Had a previous Roberts clock radio. So went for same make. The biggest problem is that even with the display light dimmed to lowest it still lights up the whole bedroom during the night.

I wanted a clock radio that also had the option for ipod dock to listen to music before sleep, the problem is that at low level volume you can hear a hiss. I rang Roberts and they said it should not, so I returned it to the shop and swapped it for a new one but that still had the same problem!!!
