Apple iPad iWorks on the Apple iPad
Apple iWorks is a document editing suite available for use on the iPad.
Keynote on the Apple iPad
Keynote is a hands-on editing kit that allows you to edit documents on the iPad. It provides templates for slideshow presentations, including tables and charts, that you access by tapping.
You move slides by dragging and dropping with your finger, and you can easily resize and rotate images with finger gestures.
Pages on the Apple iPad
The word processor on the iPad is called Pages, which brings up a keyboard with a single tap on the screen. It can be enlarged or made smaller using the iPad’s multi-touch function.
You can scroll through multi-page documents with previews of each page and, when you move a graphic, the text automatically rewraps itself.
Numbers on the Apple iPad
To manage your money, or any other number-based information, you can use the Numbers application. This lets you store a number of spreadsheets in one document using tabs at the top of the page.
Tapping and dragging lets you move columns easily with your fingers. Calculations are also done with taps and, when you double-tap, a numeric data-entry keyboard pops up - or you can call up a formula/function keypad, text, or others.
Any major editing of text documents may prove to be a chore on the virtual keyboard. However, Apple will launch a keyboard dock to get around this problem. Check out the iPad accessories page for more information.
