The Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Desk is an external hard disk with a twist: upgrade potential. Normally it's a standard USB 2.0 drive, but by buying a simple, plug-in adaptor, you can use it with a USB3 or FireWire 800 connection, improving the speed at which it transfers data. It's a nice idea, so we were keen to see how it worked out.
