Netbooks: Compare features & prices Samsung NC110 review Back to Results

Samsung has a solid pedigree with netbooks, and first impressions of the NC110 are very good. It's slim and looks like a miniature laptop, and comes in a range of colours including black, white, blue, red and purple. Does Samsung have a triumph on its hands? We put the screen, keyboard and processor through our tough tests to find out.

So glad I bought this
I really love this netbook. It's a perfect size and weight for taking on holidays or carrying round the house, quick to start up, excellent battery life, connects well to wi-fi. I use it for writing and powerpoint presentations in connection with my work, for viewing photos and accessing the internet when away, and for watching sport on Sky Go anywhere there's wi-fi.

A good alround performer
Well I am very pleased with my NC110. I have a 17 inch HP G72 laptop which is great for use about the house and on my lap, it will cope with Photoshop CS3 etc. but a big but, its difficult to use without somewhere to rest it when out and about. So with a holiday in Orkney and Shetland looming a bought a NC110 and a 2Gig memory upgrade for E-mail and Internet browsing while away. Its copes with every thing I need and much more. Its fast for E-mail and internet, connects to WiFi networks in hotels cafes and airports with no problem except airports charge so not used. The battery is great, three evenings of use. The screen is Ok, the brightness is adjustable with the default being a bit dim so turn it up! Not really suitable for CS3 but great for Microsoft Photo editing to see each days pictures. The real benefits are size, weight and long battery life togeather with better than expected performance, I am well pleased.
