No problems after 18 months use
I've had my iPad 2 for over 18 months now, and have had no problems. It connects to wifi, stays connected, and with iCloud, no storage issues either. I use it for both work and for personal use. I send reports to clients from site, which is very useful for both parties. I read ebooks, send emails, watch catchup TV, use it for my diary (again through iCloud), browse the internet, and use it as a camera. There's not more that I can say, apart from, I'll replace it with a new one when my contract expires later this year!

Fair Product total lack of support
Had my iPad2 for just under a year. Unable to large parts of it for lack of help, guidance and support. The Apple FAQs are next to useless, never use the terms which are useful to people having problems. My iPad is full as I made the mistake of syncing my music from iTunes. Naturally iTunes of no help. Their help screens show screens which are nothing like the screens I encounter. So no help from them for uninstalling sync music and thus restoring capacity. Able to use camera which is very good. Unable to use email through lack of help so can't comment.

The best but flawed
The Good.A stylish, well built, quick smoothly performing quality product,(don't miss flash), An intuitive Operating system that is upgraded with new every release of iOS. The best display plus the longest battery life. (don't miss flash),The BadiTunes, being forced to initially install this bloated buggy monster on my PC. (thank goodness for the iCloud?)Lack of a SDHC memory card slot. This forces one up the extortionately expensive memory up grade model path to overcome this, (yes you can buy an expensive Apple licensed awkward adapter that has to be carried & can be broken/lost).Walled Garden, I accepted this as part & parcel of the Apple iPad experience, but have found its constriction less than acceptable, being only to run apps that Apple approve, songs & ebooks that I effectively only lease (& need Apple equipment to access it ?) plus the high cost of Apple approved accessories, Will I buy another, no, despite still being the best Tablet, when there are now more adaptable, innovative, cost effective tablets entering the market.

Excellent product
I've had my iPad 2 for 4 months and use it every day. I've got the 8g version as it was cheaper (I waited until version 3 had been released and iPad 2 prices dropped - paid £329 from Apple). Don't foresee any storage problems as I'll just move stuff back to my iMac. Mainly use it for reading, audio books, surfing, few basic games (Solitaire type - sorry, don't do Angry Birds or whatever!) and email. It all works perfectly well, as it should. Love the keyboard, battery life of 10 hours is good, never bothered me about lack of Flash. It is so very easy to use. Would unreservedly recommend it.

What did we do without one?
We got one of these last Christmas and it was immediately obvious that it was one of those gadgets you never knew you needed, but once you had one you couldn't imagine what you did without it! Nine months later it still gets used every single day. We find it particularly good for watching catch-up and live TV, and it's so simple to use that even our children (one and five) can operate it and play games. The only downside we've noticed is that it fills up quickly (particularly with music and photos) and we wished we'd spent a bit more on a higher capacity version.

Not as good as a netbook
I don't use my iPad for games, so I'm probably not a typical user. Compared with a netbook, the iPad comes a poor second. Typing on the on-screen keyboard is slow and it is all too easy to make mistakes. If you are typing a password you may find that the iPad has decided to capitalise the first letter, making it impossible for you to log in if your password is case-sensitive. Dialogue boxes are often too small and when I try to enlarge them, I find I have accidentally made it go to the previous page. Useless for anything that requires fast, accurate typing. Excellent for: reading emails, reading websites, reading books or newspapers. Most irritating flaw - no USB socket so you cannot easily copy a document or video onto your iPad. Battery life is very good. Connects to the internet easily. As the iPad groupies would say, if you didn't like it when you tried it, just don't buy it! I feel sure that many buy it as a status symbol and a way of playing cool games.

Use it a lot but space can fill up
When the iPad was launched I scoffed at the idea of buying one as I had a smartphone and computer. Now Apple is laughing all the way to the bank as I am a convert - and have spent more than a few pennies in the App store. It is sleek, rarely crashes and when it does it restores itself. I did have a tech problem and Apple replaced it with a new iPad - beware of this, other friends have had to have theirs replaced. I bought mine from John Lewis so have a two year guarantee.Sound is good, accessories are readily available and I invested in a keyboard that made typing better.Apple do make it a pain to do things - their onscreen keyboard is pretty poor and can't be updated, and it does other odd things. Also the space can fill up quickly but there is no SD card option - is it really worth nearly £100 for an extra few gig? Same with video out options - useful but pricey, particularly compared with Android tablets.

Excellent product. I thought it would be something that I would use occasionally whilst travelling but I use it constantly at home.( My MacBook pro is rather neglected ) I have the IPad with me constantly using it with a "3" mifi when I don't have a regular wifi connection. Lack of Flash hasnot been a great problem. I strongly recommend this product. A wifi portable hard drive next!!

That is an interesting point about printing from an iPad. In the mean time, our printers section on our website now has an option in the Compare features and prices tool to choose which printers have AirPlay - and thus are able to print from an iPad.

You can also find a list at http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356

Am i the only person who wants to link the ipad to his printer? It wont work with 95% of wi-fi printers and as i refused to buy a new printer or trawl the underworld of obscure software to trick the pad into thinking its connected to an air printer(apple requirement) i returned the ipad.

Wifi issues
I bought an iPad2 16GB Wifi and was delighted with it at first. I did find a significant number of websites that did not behave normally - Flash, I presume. The problem that finally caused me to return it and receive a full refund was its infuriating inability to stay online. Its best effort was just over an hour, but it could drop its wifi link within seconds of connecting. It would then either request the network key again, or just report no wifi networks detected. Either way, it had to be switched off, when it would automatically reconnect to wifi. I should make clear that at least 20 devices (iPhones, Kindles, PCs, printer..) have used my router without a single problem and my laptop could 'see' at least 7 other neighbours' wifi networks when the iPad reported none. Initially I assumed I must have failed to set it up somehow, but I found a lot of online discussion of this problem with iPad2, but no answers. Apart from saying that iPads can be fussy about routers, my dealer seemed very keen just to give me my money back rather than check it out or let me try another, which was my initial wish, because I assumed I'd got a faulty unit. I intend to get another one in a few months and try again - or try a Samsung.
