Asus Transformer Pad TF300T 32GB review
http://www.which.co.uk/technology/computing/reviews/tablets/asus-transformer-pad-tf300t-32gb/review/
The Asus Transformer Pad TF300T is a 10-inch tablet with an attachable keyboard and a quad-core processor. But how does it measure up to the competition, and is a tablet with a separate keyboard really a good idea? We sent it to our labs to find out.

Problem appeared to be software related. On getting it back i've had no problems at all. Probably the only tablet with a USB port so all my T.V series, films and music on my WD portable hard drive that I travel with work fine. There were some issues with wireless connectivity in some reviews I read but I have had absolutely no problems at all !All my Windows documents, spreadsheets etc open up well with the Polaris Office Suit. Loads of battery time. For someone like myself who struggles with most technology I found it easy to use. Loads of free and fun apps available. One of my work mates bought one after seeing mine. I can't rate this more highly. Pity about the initial software problem. Buy one!!! :) Pros: Cons:

I think my difficulties are more to do with the version of Android that I have running (4.1.1) than with the tablet itself but it won't run Skygo content and Flash. I am thinking of reverting to the earlier version of Android......... Pros: Cons:

Positives:I don't need a PC anymore. It starts up instantaneously, bye bye Windows and waiting for egg timers! The battery lasts a long long time as I have the keyboard. I don't have the patience for a virtual keyboard so having the option to use the machine with and without a physical keyboard is liberating. It is robust enough to give to my 2 year old daughter to play drum apps on etc...It has a great screen even when outdoors. The sound is better than the review suggests but will always be limited by small speaker sizes. The HD video camera is great for capturing impromptu moments. You can plug in an external mouse for doing lots of photo editing. There are also a few more ports if you get the keyboard too.I do think the hardware is better than the Apple equivalents.Less good.... is that if you have very specific needs from Apps then Apple has a larger software market than Google. E.g. Android devices are not as well served in for example turning your device into a recording and mixing studio. For most people this will not be a problem as there is a good range of regular apps. Specification has now cost my precious time where the Asus Transformer Pad TF300T 32GB is longer available as from today from PCWorld/Currys, the very reputable retailers that I could have clicked and save, walked into off the street and collect, versus having to now find a higher risk online supplier. Specification, Excellent Overall On the Asus Transformer Pad TF300T 32GB Sound and screen quality Review states, "it's best to plug in a set of headphones". Versus the error on Full Specification which reads, 'Headphone socket --- No'. Thus, this caused me a frustratingly unnecessary and lengthy search because I preferred something with a Headphone socket, hence, went off in the wrong direction seeking out the wrongly stated £371.36 (price error needs updating) Eee Pad Transformer Prime 32GB (tf201) instead, only to discover that it can only be found for upwards of £450, which led to closer scrutiny and discovered that Curry's states that there actually is a headphone socket. On the plus side, I must express my gratitude on Which?'s in depth analysis and overall service and will not buy anything without first consulting Which amongst other reviews too. Will update further if I decide to buy. Where not tech savvy I just need to explore further to discover if the Android Operating system (OS) can be upgraded for free online from a downloadable version, and would appreciate your response if someone knows if I can or not download the latest Android for free? I have a large collection of slides and negatives of our family holidays, etc. which I am scanning so that I can show them to my wife without having to erect a screen and get the projector out. In the course of scanning it is also possible to correct defects in old slides. We are delighted with the quality of the images displayed on the tablet. I have found that a free app called 'QuickPic' is better for displaying slideshows than the 'Gallery' one included on the tablet.I have also found it useful to use the tablet to show my wife emails and websites so that she doesn't have to come and look at my desktop computer. I did consider getting a laptop to replace my desktop, but I don't think I would find it so convenient to use. I think this tablet is an excellent compromise to use in conjunction with a desktop. Can do everything you can do on your smart phone but you can read the screen! The docking station/keyboard is just great; adds extra battery power and allows full screen view while typing. When not docked, the pop-up keypad is so much better to use that that on Apple products, with great combinations of alpha& numeric chars on a single keypad. Internet access and screen linking is quick - allowing moving through multiple screen even quicker than a laptop PC. Good selection of apps including all mail and social media. With this baby I see very little need for a PC for most people. Pros: Cons:
