Belkin's Play F7D4402UK looks almost identical to the Share F7D3302UK router, but adds an ADSL modem and some useful, performance-boosting features. It boasts dual band and high-speed gibabit ports for media-intensive applications. We put it through our tests to see whether the Belkin Play could offer a better performance than the Belkin Share.

Best speed I ever got from it was 0.9 Mb/s but I can get 5Mb/s with the router supplied by Talktalk. I ended up having to set it up as an access point - i.e. using my original router and just using this to provide wifi Pros: Cons:

While we had a few problems setting the device up with our Windows 7 test computer, once up and running, data transfer speeds were certainly much faster than you've experienced. It does sound like your unit was faulty. I do hope you were able to exchange it successfully. If you have had problems getting an exchange or refund, please take a look at our consumer rights web pages which should be able to help. Pros: Cons:

Big mistake.Setting it up it went through the first steps ok then said "FAILED TO CONNECT TO THE INTERNET CONTACT YOUR ASDL SUPPLIER" but I already had the setups in my hand, it didn't ask me for them. I went onto the router entered the values and was able to connect to the internet. by cable and wirlessly. What speed - a snail is faster got a BBC webpage in about 5 mins, downloading their own firmwhere update - gave up after 30mins and 0% completed. Gave up trying different things after 3hrs and took it back Pros: Cons:
