This is rubbish with Talktalk, even after being careful to use the correct settings from their website. Best speed I ever got from it was 0.9 Mb/s but I can get 5Mb/s with the router supplied by Talktalk. I ended up having to set it up as an access point - i.e. using my original router and just using this to provide wifi
