The HTC Incredible S mobile phone is an updated version of the US-only Incredible smartphone. With a generously sized touchscreen and impressive set of specs we had high hopes for the mobile phone going into our tests.

Generally satisfied with the overall performance of this device. Liked the fact that I was able to replace the 8GB SD card with a 16 GB SD card when I exceeded storage capacity. My main crictism is that you are not able to see to sreen in bright sunlight. This makes it difficult to use the mapping feature and when taking photographs all you see is your own reflection in the screen. Also since the last operating system upgrade the display dims after 30secs of idle time and there seems to no way to alter this. The HTC sync utility is not very good. Seems to screw up the music format so that the music is unplayable. I have the resort to connecting the HTC to the PC as a file system and copy the music using windows explorer. Had to spend some time working out to which directories to copy the music .Would like longer battery life but it seems in line with other smart phones. Have in car charging to use when driving. Also have "MU 3 pin folding plug charger" which slips easily into a pocket.
My son had this for several months so social apps and internet were the most important things to him because as a 20 year old, who wants to physically talk?? !! He needed to use it as a phone after a couple of months and replaced it very fast because the quality of sound to the people he was ringing was appalling and everything needed repeating at least once.!!
No better than an Iphone 4S but every bit as good!
Light and flexible phone - You can do pretty well anything with it - wifi, 3G, Bluetooth, 8Mp camera with autofocus, Android Market, change sounds (import your own from YouTube) - Compared to an Iphone it is positively feather light and why that inflexible machine is so highly rated is a mystery to me!
