The Samsung WB700 promises users a quiet 18x optical zoom

Samsung will be showing off its WB700 superzoom camera at CES 2011.

The 14Mp digital camera features an 18x optical zoom, with a broad wide-angle setting of 24mm.

Samsung claims that the zoom on the WB700 runs so quietly that it doesn't get picked up by the internal microphone when using the WB700's video mode.

The Samsung WB700 can capture video in HD at 720p resolution. It also features a host of art filters, such as fisheye and sketch effects, alongside shutter speed and aperture priority modes.

Which? researchers will track down the WB700 when the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show begins to test out the 18x zoom and bring you a gallery of test shots taken using the art filters.
