Digital SLR: Digital camera accessories Digital photo frames
The future of picture frames – digital LCD screens
Connecting your camera to your television set is one of the ways to show your photos off on a big screen. Another way is with a mains powered digital photo frame.
These look like normal photo frames, but have an LCD screen which displays the photos. You can set your digital photo frame to display just one photo, or use the 'slideshow' feature so it displays your photos one by one.
Many of these digital photo frames have a memory-card slot, so you simply remove the memory card from your camera and insert it in the frame which then displays your photos.
With others you can connect your camera to the frame using the USB cable and transfer your photos that way. Some of the latest models are even Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled. Some digital photo frames can play your videos too, and many have speakers for sound and music.
Digital photo frames come in different sizes, with 7-inch screens being the most common. Prices start at around £35. You can find out everything you need to know at our Digital Photo Frames homepage or head straight to our Best Buy section or our guide to buying the best digital photo frame.
