Sony Alpha 450 April 2010
Sony Alpha 450 (Sony A450)
Which? researchers travelled to Birmingham, to visit the 2010 Focus on Imaging Show - the UK's largest camera show - where they recorded a series of digital camera first look videos. This includes a video review of the Sony Alpha 450
The 14.2Mp Sony alpha 450 is an 'affordable' digital SLR that sits in price between the alpha 300s (the 330 and 380) and 500s (the 500 and 550).
Like some recent entry-level digital SLRs from Sony, the alpha 450 has an on-screen guide to help beginners get to terms with manual settings such as aperture and shutter speed.

Sony A450 features
The camera has a built-in flash, which Sony claims can be used every four seconds - there's also a hot shoe connection for connecting an external flash if desired.
Sony claims that you'll be able to get more than 1,000 shots per battery charge. The 450 recognises both Sony's Memory Stick Pro Duo and the more common SD memory cards.
Pros: A quick camera for this class, handy on-screen guide for beginners
Cons: Small LCD, no Live View when using automatic focus
