The Canon PowerShot A490 is a simple camera for everyday use that offers excellent battery life. This model is very similar to another Canon camera, the PowerShot A495 - and they have identical 10Mp sensors. The A495 simply boasts two extra scene modes - super vivid and poster effect - as well as a more advanced face detection mode.
