What is Freesat from Sky?

This is Sky’s satellite non-subscription service. You receive the service via a satellite dish to a set-top box. You pay a one-off fee for this equipment and installation, then the programmes are free. It's a good choice if you want more channels than are available on Freeview, but don't want to be tied to a monthly subscription.

You don't have to be a Sky TV customer to get Freesat from Sky, but if you’re interested in Sky’s subscription services and how it compares to the likes of Virgin Media and BT Vision, you’ll find more information in our guide to cable TV, satellite TV and digital TV packages.
