What is IFA 2012?

What do we expect from IFA 2012?

Samsung at IFA 2012

Samsung has already sent out the invites for its latest ‘unpacked’ event which normally means it is launching a new smartphone. Rumours suggest this will be a follow up to the popular Samsung Galaxy Note - a large smartphone with a 5.3-inch screen.

Samsung will also be showing off the ES9000 – a 75-inch TV that includes the ability to play Angry Birds – the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet and the Series 5 Ultra Touch laptop.

Sony could be set for a busy IFA showing off a new Xperia Tablet, Xperia smartphone and giving us more information about its Crystal LED TV technology.

We are hoping for a better look at LG's 55-inch OLED TV

LG at IFA 2012

LG has announced that the Optimus Vu (which we saw back in February at Mobile World Congress) will be going on sale in the UK so we would expect LG to be coming out with an updated model. We are also expecting a closer look at the company's first large panel OLED TV - the EM960.
