The LG BD670 is a 3D-capable Blu-ray player. It's similar to the LG BD660 but also features built-in wifi plus DLNA networking and LG's NetCast system (which includes access to BCC iPlayer and YouTube). An impressive spec-sheet doesn't tell the whole story though - could this Blu-ray player justify its higher price-tag in our extensive lab tests?

HDMI cable supplied
You'll need an HDMI cable to connect to a suitable HDTV. Buying seperately will cost you between £20 and £40 - but don't spend anymore than that.

Can play back 3D Blu-ray discs and display 3D content on a suitable TV

Resume
On Blu-ray and DVD discs this feature remembers where you stopped watching a film and restarts again from that point. However it doesn't normally work with BD-live discs.
BD-Live
BD Live compatible players can playback interactive content (such as games, trailers, quizzes) on discs or via an internet connection. Also known as profile 2.0.
USB/SD
You can view photos from a compatible digital camera memory card via an SD card slot. Some have USB ports so you can connect to digital equipment for transferring audio or video material in compatible file formats. Some USB ports are only there for adding memory so that Bonusview or BD live material can be used. Others are used only for software upgrades.
Digital output
Typically used for connecting to an external surround sound system. Make sure the output of your player matches the input of your surround-sound amplifier.
