My bedroom TV runs off a Maxview Plus battery powered "Flat (enclosed) Box" indoor aerial which, despite being in a poor reception area, worked fine as long as you remember to turn it off to preserve battery life after each use. So I bought this mains powered aerial to save the need to replace batteries ever so often. Unfortunately its performance was dreadful -just could not handle freeview at all - continuous picture break-up at best or nothing at all. Other reviews tend to suggest that the supplied amplifier is poor or, at least, you will need a top quality aerial cable rather than the one supplied.
