Samsung's mid-range 40-inch UE40ES5500 TV shows hints of the style and many of the features of the manufacturer's high-end LED TVs. It has a slim metallic frame and a discrete pedestal stand housing a Full HD 1080p LED-backlit screen, a Freeview HD tuner and Samsung's latest smart TV features. Is this a hit for Samsung, or are there signs that its mid-level price is reflected in the quality of sound and pictures?
