In recent months you’ve helped us investigate cosmetic treatment abroad, life insurance, home buying, identity fraud, long-term care costs and choosing healthcare services.
Margaret Rickson, for example, told us about her experience of electronic prescriptions. At 79, she no longer needs to walk uphill to her surgery every month. Instead, following training at her local library, she can order prescriptions and access her medical records online - using her own laptop. This has allowed her to challenge a hospital consultant about what her records contained.
Margaret says: ‘It puts me in control. You feel like a person, not a piece of paper or number. The consultant wasn’t angry but surprised, and answered my questions.’
