For answers to the most frequently asked questions see below, or use the links above to find the answers to questions about specific subjects.

How do I log in to which.co.uk?

To log in, you need to enter the correct username and password for your account. Visit How to log in for a step-by-step guide to logging in.

For Which? magazine subscribers: if you are using the log in details we have allocated you;

  • your username will usually be your membership number. This is a letter followed by 9 numbers and can be found on your membership card or the letter enclosed with each issue of Which? magazine
  • your password will usually be the first 12 letters of your surname, in capital letters with any punctuation removed. If you have changed your username recently we will have asked you to change it to your email address

For Which? Online subscribers: you will normally have chosen your log in details when you signed up;

  • your username will usually either be your email address, membership number or your name in lower case with a full stop between your first and last name
  • your password will be between 6 and 12 characters and contain only letters or numbers

If you have since changed or can't remember your username and/or password, we can email you an instant reminder.

I have entered the correct username and password but still can't log in

This may be because your computer is still trying to use incorrect details previously entered. We would suggest;

  • completely re-type your username and password to clear any previous entries
  • avoid cutting and pasting your details as you may include unwanted spaces
  • close your browser (by clicking the x button in the top right hand corner of your browser) and then reopen it and type in www.which.co.uk to display the Which? home page
  • you can clear your temporary internet files.This will get rid of any incorrect or corrupted information that your computer has stored about your Which? Online account but will also remove any other usernames and passwords that you might have stored on your pc. The following instructions will give you an idea of how you can do this:

Tools > (Internet) Options > General Tab > tick delete all offline content or temporary internet files.

If you are still unable to log in you may wish to check your security settings which again can be found in the Tools > (Internet) Options area of your browser. These settings have caused a few problems for members when trying to get into the site. We've found out that the selection of 'anonymous log in' has caused the problem. De-selecting this and selecting 'automatic log in' seems to rectify this. If you still experience problems you will need to contact your internet service provider.

I can't remember my username and password, how do I get a reminder?

We can send you an instant email reminder.

Can I print reports?

You can print reports from your browser by using the print button or going to file > print in your browsers toolbar.

Can I change the size of the text on which.co.uk?

We have developed which.co.uk website to meet the "AA" conformance level of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. This is to ensure that it can be viewed in all modern browsers and other devices such as screen readers, to make it as accessible as possible.

If you need to change the size of the text, you can change this in your browser by clicking view>text size in the toolbar menu.

Why has search returned results that aren't what I expected to get?

The search tool on Which.co.uk will find the most relevant results to match your entry. If you have entered your search term and there aren't any matching results, it may mean that we do not have relevant information for your request and the closest matches will be displayed. The advanced search will allow you to search by topic area. If your search returns too many results, you can refine this by adding quotation marks, eg "child car seats".
