Before you fly make sure you've packed our guide to passenger rights.
The European Union Denied Boarding Regulation came into force in February 2005 to ensure that airline passengers get compensation if flights are cancelled or delayed, or if passengers are 'bumped' from an overbooked flight.

Despite these rules, passengers are still finding it difficult to get redress from airlines when things go wrong. Bad weather and staff strikes are common excuses airlines use to avoid compensating passengers affected by delays and cancellations.
We're campaigning to ensure new regulation is upheld and consumers get appropriate redress when things go wrong. Find out more about our campaign, tell us your experiences and get help with your claim for compensation here.
