A respite/sitting service to give carers a short break enabling them to have some respite and do something without worrying about responsibilities. This can be a one off or regular service. Resources permitting we may be able to provide this service outside of our core hours. Respite services can sit and chat, play board or other games, make tea or a light snack, go for a walk, watch TV or listen to the radio with them, read and discuss the news, provide companionship or simply watch over them. This service can be paid via Carers Respite Vouchers provided by the local authorities. This services does not undertake personal care.
