Men and women living with dementia who like making things and working with tools will be able to get stuck in at Alzheimer's Support's first Memory Shed. The weekly meetings at Brunel Shed in Corsham will allow people to work on practical projects supported by trained volunteers. Projects planned for the new dementia-friendly group include making bird boxes, memory boxes, wooden animals and, in the spring, raised flower beds. Members will also be supported to work on their own chosen projects. Corsham Health and Wellbeing group is supporting the initiative and has given funds to buy specially adapted tools that are easier and safer to use.
