John Lewis has launched a new online and telephone sales venture offering insurance, holidays and events tickets.
The Greenbee website is offering quotes for travel and home insurance, and selling flights and holidays packages as well as theatre, concert and sports tickets
Greenbee products won’t be available from John Lewis and Waitrose stores, but will be promoted in the partnership’s bi-monthly Source magazine which will be given away to shoppers.
John Lewis’s famous ‘never knowingly undersold’ promise won’t extend to the new venture.
James Furse, Greenbee Managing Director, said: ‘Customers of John Lewis and Waitrose keep telling us that they would like to have the same level of trust and confidence in other areas of their shopping that they have grown accustomed to with us and that is the essence of Greenbee.’
