Tropicana recalls batch of orange juice

It follows complaints about unpleasant smell


A batch of orange juice has been recalled after customers complained of an unpleasant smell and taste.

The affected Tropicana Smooth Style Orange Juice was pulled from shelves following two calls to the manufacturers.

Both complained of an unusual smell on opening the product and an ‘off’ taste if drunk.

The affected product is Tropicana Smooth Style Orange Juice 1 litre with a best before date of 24/11/07.

Customer refunds

It has the batch code ZKY TR, and a time stamp of ‘Any time between 03:20 and 04:00’.

The majority of affected cartons were still with retailers and had not been sold to the public.

No other Tropicana products or batch codes are known to be affected.
