Virgin Media allows you to add Bollywood film channels

Virgin Media Television’s new entertainment channel is set to launch tonight.

Virgin 1 will be available on cable, Freeview and satellite and is launching with the slogan, ‘no soaps, no makeovers, no nonsense, just proper telly’.

US imports such as The Riches, starring Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver as con artists, and the Terminator spin-off The Sarah Connor Chronicles will get an airing.

A number of documentaries are scheduled, including an investigation into immigrant gang culture by Rageh Omar.

Star Trek

Virgin 1 will also have shows that have appeared on other Virgin Media channels, including The Unit, Criminal Minds and Sexcetera, as well as reruns of Deep Space Nine, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Knight Rider and Star Trek.

Sunday night has also been allocated for comedy programmes

It will replace the FTN channel and can be accessed on Freeview channel 20, Sky channel 153 and Virgin channel 122.
