Kodak has announced the latest addition to its family of inkjet printers – the ESP5.
The all-in-one device can scan, copy and print and will be in the shops in May.
It will cost £130 and Kodak claims it can halve the cost of printing compared with similar consumer inkjet printers
Enrico Bradamante, Kodak’s director of inkjet systems said: ‘Kodak is delivering on its promise to end ink profiteering and to bring people affordable, premium ink.’
The ESP5 is a sleek black design, can print from most major memory cards and has a 3-inch LCD screen to allow you to preview images.
Which? senior researcher Lizzy Payne said: ‘We’ve tested two Kodak all-in-ones in the past and both have produced very cheap printouts.
‘It will be interesting to see if this new launch continues the trend.
‘We welcome this potential shake up to the market and hope other manufacturers will follow suit with printers that don’t cost the consumer a fortune in ink.’
