Over 90% of Scots do some kind of research when buying new products such as digital cameras, TVs, stereos and sat navs, according to new research from which.co.uk.
Which.co.uk surveyed more than 1,000 Scottish adults about their shopping habits and found that while 90% said they researched purchases, a third became so frustrated by the array of choices that they gave up.
Younger people were most likely to become angry if they couldn’t find the product they were looking for, with 30% of 18-24 year olds admitting to having lost their temper, compared to just 5% of those aged 55 or more.
Which.co.uk discovered family and friends are the most popular source of product recommendations, followed by online review sites and user reviews.
