Panasonic has announced the launch of four new digital cameras: the DMC-FS15, the DMC-FS6, the DMC-FS7 and the DMC-LS85.
The Panasonic DMC-FS15 is a compact model and scheduled for a February launch date. The 12.1Mp camera with 5x zoom will be available in three colours: silver, black and blue.
Budget digital cameras
The Panasonic DMC-FS6 and the Panasonic DMC-FS7 are budget level digital cameras, both featuring a 4x zoom. The FS6 has an 8.1Mp sensor, while the FS7’s sensor measures 10.1Mp. Both models feature face detection and intelligent scene selector modes, to help beginners get the most out of the cameras capabilities. The FS7 and the FS7 will be launched in March, and will be available in silver or black.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LS85 will also be launched in March. It features an 8.1Mp sensor and a 4x zoom.
Ben Stevens, Which? researcher, said: ‘The DMC-LS85 is the successor to the LS80. The LS80, while not a Best Buy, offers reasonable versatility to entry-level photographers who are on a budget. The zoom has been increased on the LS85, and we hope that battery life has also been improved.’
