Sky has announced that its Sky+ Remote Record application for iPhone is available now from the Apple App Store.

Recording TV with Sky+ boxes

You can find out more about Sky’s digital satellite TV services including Sky+ in the .

A Sky+ or Sky+HD digital TV set top box doubles as a personal video recorder (PVR) to let you record pause and rewind live TV, and both the Sky+ box itself and the monthly digital TV Sky+ subscription cost more than a standard sky service. For more on the benefits of PVRs like a Sky+ box, take a look at the Which? review of PVRs.

Sky+ App for iPhone

The Sky+ Remote Record application for iPhone gives customers access to Sky’s seven-day Electronic Programme Guide (EPG), where they can browse listings by time, day or programme name, and then select programmes to record via their Sky+ box.

Once a recording request has been sent to the customer’s Sky+ box, a message appears on screen confirming that the show will be ready and waiting for them when they get home.

The Sky+ Remote Record app is available for free from Apple’s App Store.
