Kodak, Lexmark pledge to ‘save money printing’

Lexmark and Kodak play the economy card for prints

Kodak print and prosper

Printer-makers Lexmark and Kodak are separately running advertising campaigns to inform consumers that money can be saved when using a Lexmark or a Kodak printer.

The Kodak Print and Prosper campaign features an online price comparison calculator, which allows users to see the savings that Kodak believes can be made when using a Kodak printer, as opposed to a Lexmark, Brother, Epson, Canon or Hewlett Packard.

Lexmark print less, save more

Lexmark’s campaign suggests that you can save money, time and the environment when using a Lexmark printer, and the site contains tips on how to bring down the cost of printing at home.

Lizzy Payne, Which? printer expert, said: ‘Our tests have shown over recent years that Kodak printers are consistently cheaper to run than most other brands.

‘While Lexmark models don’t stand out for being particularly efficient models, some of the information provided on the website can help bring the cost of printing down at home no matter what brand of printer you own – such as duplexing, or printing on both sides of the paper, and shrinking down pages so that more than one page of text can be printed on a single sheet of paper.’
