Gaggia coffee machine owners waiting for spare parts after the UK distributor went bust can expect to get them in about two weeks, according to Gaggia’s new owner.

Gaggia UK, sole UK distributor but not part of Gaggia, went under in mid-August. Since then, coffee machine owners have been unable to get spare parts.

Philips, meanwhile, has bought Gaggia’s business globally – but not its parts supply in the UK. 

What to do

While the consumer goods giant searches for a UK distributor, consumers can only call Philips’ customer care division on 0800 331 6015 to register their details and await parts. 

Philips told Which? that this wait would be ‘a couple of weeks’, but would not be more precise than that.

Repairs covered by warranties are unaffected. Philips says its first priority is to repair machines which have been sent in by customers, its second being to find a distributor.
