New Argos logo

Update: read about the new Argos catalogue for autumn / winter 2011.

Argos unveiled a refreshed logo and a new catalogue over the weekend – which includes 7,000 new products, 2,000 lowered prices and an extended value range.

The 73rd Argos catalogue promises ‘great products at even better prices’ – featuring an Argos Value range that’s larger ‘than ever before’ with more than 350 products, plus over 500 ‘marketing-leading WOW deals’ on items including washing machines, vacuum cleaners and fridge freezers.

Which? tests a range of household appliances including a toaster, espresso maker, microwave, kettle, steamer and breadmaker from Argos’ own-brand Cookworks range.

We flicked through the compact-sized catalogue to find some ‘WOW deals’ – described by Argos as ‘some of our lowest prices’ or ‘products with great free accessories on offer.’ They include the Bush A126Q washing machine for £199.99 and a silver Bush HD220RWN frost-free fridge freezer for £209.99. A free grooming gift set is available with the Philips HQ7310 Reflex shaver, available for £48.89.

We also spotted a new product from Morphy Richards, the Meno Heat and Dispense (£69.99), a one-cup hot water dispenser that looks similar to the Tefal Quick Cup Deluxe and Breville Hot Cup.

The Argos catalogue also features the new Dyson City DC26 vacuum cleaner and two new Dirt Devil vacs.

Argos claims its catalogues reach around 18m homes nationwide.
