Ocado launches online rating tool for customers

Ocado shoppers can now rate and review groceries

Ocado customers can now rate and review the online supermarket’s groceries online.

The Ocado rating and review service covers all 21,000 products sold on the Ocado website, including the Ocado Everyday range of fruit and vegetables, branded goods and groceries sold by Waitrose. Both Ocado and Waitrose are a hit with Which? members – take a look at our survey of online supermarkets to find out why.

Ocado launched the rating and review facility this week to its Ocado On Demand customers, with a full launch to all shoppers by the start of February 2010.

New Ocado rating and review service

The new Ocado review service will also cover non-food lines sold by Ocado, including toys, flowers, magazines and kitchen products. Ocado shoppers can give products an overall rating out of five, with separate ratings for value for money, packaging quality and overall quality.

Customers can also write product reviews and Ocado says it will encourage shoppers to share reviews online through social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook. The online supermarket says its Ocado iPhone app now accounts for 3% of its sales.

The Which? high street shops survey will tell you which supermarkets and shops are rated highly by Which? members.
