LG Cookie Plus (LG GS500) and LG Cookie Fresh (LG GS290)

The LG Cookie Plus is aimed at social network users. It’s a 3G handset that supports downloading and running applications, real-time push email, and web browsing.

LG says the Cookie Fresh has a distinctive design, with the same features found in the original Cookie phone. The phone has a soft outer grip, according to the company, and is available in 16 colour variations.

The predecessor to these models, the LG Cookie (LG KP500), sold over 13 million units worldwide according to LG.

LG Cookie Series features

The mobiles in the LG Cookie Series come with smart social network service (SNS) connectivity and features such as LiveSquare, which LG says allows users to keep in touch with online friends more easily by offering a visually dynamic, interactive experience. Both feature a cartoon-styled user interface with colourful theme options and support downloadable applications including The New York Times, eBay Search, Amazon Search and Fox News, according to the company.

Both handsets include a camera. The LG Cookie Plus has a 3 megapixel (Mp) camera with digital zoom, and the Cookie Fresh has a 2Mp camera – it also comes with an FM tuner for listening to the radio on the move.
